Jazz Rap 巨擘團體 A Tribe Called Quest 為了慶祝首張專輯《People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm》滿 25 週年，他們將重新發行這張傑作。
成軍於 1985 年紐約的 A Tribe Called Quest 由 Q-Tip、Phife Dawg、Ali Shaheed Muhammad 與 Jarobi White ( 1991 年離團，2006 年樂團重組後再次加入)所組成，被公認為是 Jazz Rap、Alternative Hip Hop 的先鋒樂團，與 De La Soul、Jungle Brothers 等團體皆為「Native Tongues」的活躍成員；A Tribe Called Quest 的《The Low End Theory》和《Midnight Marauders》為 Jazz Rap 界的經典之作，《The Low End Theory》更是入選了 Rolling Stone「史上最偉大 500 張專輯」的第 154 名。
再版的《People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm》，將會於今年的 11 月 13 日由 Sony Legacy 發行，除此之外，A Tribe Called Quest 的其他專輯也會陸續重新發行。
《People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm》的重發版，由擔任過 D’Angelo 與 De La Soul 混音工程的 Bob Power 進行重製的工作；而除了原版的唱片之外，這次的再版將會有許多現代饒舌歌手的獻聲與客串，這個部分也會被混音到新版的《People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm》中；官方將在下週公布客串的饒舌歌手名單。
身為 A Tribe Called Quest 成員的 Q-Tip 表示：「我很早的時候就在構思這張專輯了。回過頭看，當年 16 歲的我所構想的音樂概念獲得如此肯定，讓我覺得成就了某項事物；對於它如今這樣備受推崇，我懷抱著深深的感謝」，另外一位成員 Ali Shaheed Muhammad 也表示：「這張專輯代表了很多事情，它是我們音樂生涯的起點，也是我們開始用自己的方式去詮釋週遭的一切，並且把這些融入到歌詞與音樂中。」
A Tribe Called Quest 同時也為《People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm》25 週年重發版製作了一支 15 秒的宣傳短片：
