好吧，精美的 Grammy 再次讓我們跌破眼鏡！這次，”久負盛名” 的葛萊美獎頒獎典禮，將喜劇雙人組 Tenacious D 的成就推上高峰，這次在做給 Dio 的致專輯《This Is Your Life》中，〈The Last in Line〉這首歌讓他們倆榮獲最佳金屬表演的大獎，讓 Jack Black 與 Kyle Gass 這對耍寶兄弟，獲得音樂上的認可。
對於 Tenacious D 或是他們對 Dio 的致敬，並沒有什麼值得好批評的地方，我們不予置評；但是葛萊美獎的金屬類別總是…好像不是對本質上的金屬樂團設立的。Tenacious D 的作品幹掉的可是 Slipknot 的〈The Negative One〉、Mastodon 的〈High Road〉、Motorhead 的〈Heartbreaker〉以及同樣出自 Dio 致敬專輯，由 Anthrax 翻唱 Black Sabbath 的〈Neon Knights〉，當然不只我們以及其他媒體，網路上的鄉民也對這次的結果感到非常 “意外”。

葛萊美會出現這種情況其實已經不算太意外，早在 1988 年就有 Jethro Tull 擊敗 Metallica 與 AC/DC (還有 Iggy Pop 跟 Jane’s Addiction) 贏得最佳金屬表演的紀錄 (然後連 Ian Anderson 自己都很意外…因為他們甚至承認這首不是金屬樂)。
看來對於葛萊美獎的評估方式，我們還有非常多的東西要學習呢。
