Static-X 的主唱 Wayne Static 在 11 月 1 日驚傳去世，享年 48 歲。而目前對於他的死因及其他細節並沒有進一步的消息，Static 本來再過幾個月就要跟 Powerman 5000 和 Drowing Poll 一起巡迴的，據傳 Static 本來身體狀況就不好，在 2012 年也曾因為健康因素取消與 Emmure 和 Ill Nino 的表演，但是這次的消息還是發生的非常突然。
Wayne Static 在 1994 年創立了 Static-X 工業金屬樂團直到 2010 年解散，而 Wayne Static 在 2011 年時發行了自己的 Solo 專輯 Pighammer 。後來在 2012 年跟著他 Solo 專輯的樂手以 Static-X 再次出發，不過當時他也曾經因為健康狀況不佳而取消了表演。 Static-X 在 1999 年曾經以 Wisconsin Death Trip 拿下白金唱片。
這次樂團界也藉由各種社交媒體向 Wayne Static 致哀，希望他的家人及朋友可以早日擺脫這份哀傷。
