今年的 MTV Video Music Award，Beyonce 可以說是在提名上獨佔鰲頭，一個人就被提名了八個獎項，而緊跟在後的是 Eminem 與 Iggy Azalea，這兩個人都被提名了七個獎項。
Beyonce 與 Iggy Azalea 分別以〈Drunk In Love〉和〈Fancy〉被提名「Video of the Year」，其他入圍的還有，Miley Cyrus 的〈Wrecking Ball〉、Sia 的〈Chandelier〉、Pharrell Williams 的〈Happy〉。
而 Eminem 也以〈The Monster〉入圍「Best Male Video」以及「Best Collaboration」、〈Berzerk〉入圍「Best Hip-Hop Video」、〈Rap God〉入圍「Best Visual Effects」和「Best Art Direction」。
而「Best Rock Video」入圍的則有：Linkin Park 的〈Until It’s Gone〉、Imagine Dragons 的〈Demons〉、Arctic Monkeys 的〈Do I Wanna Know〉、The Black Keys 的〈Fever〉以及 Lorde 的〈Royals〉。

MTV 音樂錄影帶大獎將於今年的八月二十四號，在美國加州進行頒獎 ( 完整提名名單 )。
附帶一提，至今拿過最多次獎項的前三名分別是：瑪丹娜 ( 20 次)、Lady GaGa ( 13 次)、Peter Gabriel ( 13 次)。
