Coldplay在八月底時正式宣布將為電影「飢餓遊戲2：星火燎原」製作原聲帶，而在上週9月6號時樂團正式發佈這首新歌給樂迷們試聽，「Atlas」也是自2011年專輯《Mylo Xyloto》後首支發佈的新歌。
新歌「Atlas」同樣充滿了Coldplay的味道，Chris Martin彈奏招牌的鋼琴聲配上英雄故事般的歌詞，和像雷達聲般吉他短促的聲響，營造出宏偉的氛圍。
飢餓遊戲首部曲在北美創下影史票房第13名的佳績並一舉橫掃全球七億票房，而「Atlas」已經連同飢餓遊戲完整原聲帶在美國 iTunes 上架，「飢餓遊戲2：星火燎原」將在今年11月22日全球同步上映。
